Connecting Dots

What is Starlight Headliner?

The starlight headliner was originally invented by Rolls-Royce in 2006. Throughout years of innovation, it's now one of the most important parts of Rolls-Royce iconography. However, most people dream to drive beneath the galaxy and resting under the stars. That's why we are here, standing on the shoulders of giants, bringing you the innovated experience of the starlight headliner.

How does it work?

Starlight Headliner is formed by hundreds of optic fibres and a light engine. Each optic fibre forms one single star, and usually, there are five hundred of it being placed behind the headliner to form the starlight effect. Optical fibres are the conductor of light, it doesn't transfer heat or electricity, which is safe and reliable.

To achieve different effects and functions, different light engines are needed, but there was one of them, stands out and become the most popular starlight engine, which is our 10W Twinkle module which carries 500 strips of optic fibre, Bluetooth smart app control system and brings out the breathtaking twinkle starlight effect.

How does it installed?

The starlight headliner will be installed onto the original headliner of the vehicle. The spreading and the amount of the stars were well designed to make it looks even. What we are looking for is "random but in order", this will give the final outcome a galaxy-like looking. Then they will be bound all together into the light engine. And the light engines are usually being placed inside the pillar of the vehicle.

How do I control it?

For most of the vehicles, the starlight headliner will go on and off automatically when turning on and off the vehicle. And every light engine comes with a remote to control it. By using the remote, you can control the colour, brightness, modes and on/off. Some light engines have built-in Bluetooth modules, those modules enable you to control the light engine via the App on a smartphone. Which gives you an even wider range of colour selection.

Master Grade Detailing

Small details make great differences. During the process of installation, we focus on every detail of the job. We designed those optic fibres to be indifferent thickness to produce a more realistic stary effect. And for the tools that we use to trim off the optical fibre are top of the range, this helps each star looks better and won't be scratchy when touching it.

Installation

No one can tell that you've installed the starlight headliner. Everything just looks so natural until you switch it on. All the cables will be hidden behind the trim, as well as the light engine. And won't use any of the cigarette lighter or USB charging ports. Electricity will be taken from the fuse box, which at the same time protects the light engine and the circuit of the vehicle.
